You'll need a Cow Stall on the ship, but you can only build that once you purchase the Proof of Purchase: Cow from Edgeborough Lane's Raccoon Inc. Harvest from chickens after building Chicken Coop Note that even if you obtain the ship upgrade that lets you build the Crusher, you won't get the materials for it until after meeting Bruce and Mickey.Ītul's Fried Chicken quest will just have to wait a while. Some of these are crucial to advancing passenger quests.įat falls under the crucial category, and you'll need the Crusher to process certain ingredient items into fats. You'll need certain key food ingredients for some of the dishes you can't make with your ship's facilities, like milk, eggs, and pork. Grow a Mulberry Tree, then gather the moth cocoons to get Silk Fibers. Grow and harvest Cotton to get Cotton Fibers, then use those at the Loom Speak to Alice to trigger an event, round up the bugs, and you'll get the fibers. To get Nebula Fiber, navigate to the pillbug shapes around Furogawa with Alice on board. You'll need to find Alice on Mount Toroyama first. Shear a sheep, then take the Wool Fiber to the Loom. Harvest Linen Fiber from Flax Seeds, then use it at the Loom The Loom used to make threads and fabrics is one of the ship's first new facilities, but you'll be using it all the way through the game, especially when it's time to get Silk. Run them through the Crusher to get Olive Oil and Sugar respectively.Ĭloth and the materials to weave it are another set of items you'll quickly get familiar with. And you should, because later upgrades and buildings need Cotton fabric.Įdgeborough Lane's store only has the Olive Seed for the Garden and the Sugar Cane for the field. Loneberg's a tiny place, but you can pick up Cotton Seeds to grow in the Field here. Use Cabbage in the Cellar to make Sauerkraut. Use in the Crusher to make Sunflour Oil, an essential Fat used for obtaining Fried Chicken and other fried foods. The Sunflower Seed is a must-have because it's your base for making Fried Chicken and other fried foods. Nordweiler is the first big island you'll reach on the other side of the ice after outfitting your ship with the ice breaker, and it's got some new seed types in store. That's a later-game upgrade that requires the rock breaker addition to the ship. Hikarishima Lighthouse is closest to the Furogawa store, but you won't gain access to it until obtaining the Bounce ability from Oxbury. One other very special case is the Fireglow Seed. Speaking of Francis, he's the only way to get Mystery Seeds, which always sprout into Tchotchke, items you'll sell back to him for a good profit. But you'll randomly find some seeds in crates on the sea or possibly for sale in Francis' floating emporium. Most seeds are available for purchase at a branch of Theodore's Raccoon Inc. You'll use seeds almost more than any other item in Spiritfarer, especially early on. We've broken things down by item type and included where you can find them, key notes about them, and what they're used for.

What does a kid make of those insane titles, like “Adrift Just Off the Islets of Langerhans: Latitude 38° 54′ N, Longitude 77° 00′ 13″ W”? They weren’t stories which one read by trying to understand an alien species the heroes discovered, or how to suss out a new invention’s implications, but stories I simply couldn’t get at first glance, and needed to read harder just to figure out what was going on. I spent a lot of time reading and not talking with people.Īnd those Ellison stories! They always came at me from bizarre directions. This was back in the 1970s and 80s, dear reader, when being a nerd was akin to being a leper with open sores. When I turned 13 we moved across the country, and I kept reading sf. I prowled the stacks every chance I could, and brought home troves. I was a big science fiction reader, devouring everything the local public library held, from children’s lit to the most challenging adult science fiction. By “kid” I mean from age eight or so onwards. He also edited several very important anthologies.įor me, he’s a writer who opened my mind wide when I was a kid. For some he’s most famous as the author of everyone’s favorite Star Trek episode, “The City on the Edge of Forever.” For others he’s one character in a Gay Talese essay, an energetic young man who goes toe to toe with Frank Sinatra. He was best known for stories in science fiction, fantasy, and horror, but he also wrote mysteries, mainstream fiction, tv scripts, radio plays, essays on all sorts of things including tv, and a computer game. If you don’t recognize the name, and haven’t clicked on the Wikipedia link above, know that Harlan Ellison was an important writer in many venues. So his creative output looms especially large for me right now, just as he died. But since so much of the responses to his death, both celebrations of his life and celebrations of his death have focused on Ellison as a person to interact with (see this MeFi thread for examples of both positive and negative reactions, or Cory Doctorow’s balanced account, or John Scalzi’s obituary), I’d rather talk about him as someone whose work I read, and who meant a lot to me.Īlso, all of my books are in storage now because of the impending move (which is terrible, and I will write about this), so I can’t quickly reach for my Ellison paperbacks, hardcovers, CDs, and comic books. I only have a couple of stories about interacting with him. He was one of my favorite writers for a long, long time. it does require a lot of extra skill points, if you have enough to spare, add some here. Survival Tree - of you have a HP or MP issue. Intimidating Power - Increase ATK a little. Whack - you have extremely low chance to increase the last physical damage dealt.Ĭritical UP - Incrase Crit Rate & damage dealt a little. Why would I go with an archer then?įourth. What is a Pure Archer? Someone that uses a bow. However, with much request, here’s what I have for my Pure Archer build with variants.įirst. Heck, I’ve never even written a guide before in my life (at least not a gaming guide). I’ve never been one of those people that like to test a bunch of different builds and write about them. These shared the looks and mechanical features of the early Jeep wagons with the exception of having the pickup cargo bed. (Above and Below) A beautifully restored 1962 Willys Pickup as seen at the Texas Motor Speedway Car Show 2008. Variations of the 4x4 truck models were built into 1965. Produced a two-wheel drive (discontinued after 1951) and a four-wheel drive pickup truck. How old is old? Beginning around 1947 the They can only become rarer (and maybe more valuable) with time. So hang on to and take care of that old Jeep truck. So as the last of the Comanche's (pun intended) and the other older Jeep trucks get even older, attrition will reduce the numbers every year. UNTIL NOW.available starting in 2019 the all new Jeep Gladiator JT became available to the public: Fortunately I have a picture of it from the Nationals with all the stickers on it and the inside front tire off the ground from cornering. The short answer is that Chrysler/Jeep has not built a production pickup truck since 1992 when the great (my bias)Jeep Comanche series was retired. But the truck came in first AND second in the following Pro-Solo that same year. But believe me, the truck was capable of winning H Stock! I knew there was a brake issue solely from getting the brakes hot at an event earlier in the year and I ended up blowing my best run. Me and my attention deficit I only managed 3rd in H Stock, now called H Street. I bought it brand new in ’89 with the intention of autocrossing it and autocross it I did! They handled so well that I took it to the SCCA Solo ll (SCCA’s word for autocross) Nationals the same year. Yes, yes, I know that’s misspelled! That’s how it was on the truck, I’m sure on purpose. Crazy I know!īut my first one was a red Comanche Eliminator. While it’s absolutely nothing today, it was 177 hp and that was more than many cars back then. I opened the hood just to see our beloved 6 with REAL multi-port fuel injection, not some fake electronic carb throttle body injection. I ended up hauling one, a Cherokee, for a Jeep dealer, not one that had broken down, and it had the 4.0 in it. I had heard it was in the works and at the time I drove a wrecker and we towed for Jeep dealers. These are great little trucks with the 4.0 in them! It was an extremely dark blue ’91 model, next to the last year. My name is Richard, I’m an AMC guy and love all AMC, INCLUDING PACERS!! I have owned three Comanches, although it has been many years since my last one. I wish I could somehow prove what I’m about to type here. 1986 was the first year for the Jeep Comanche, have any of you owned one? Other engine choices in 1986 included a GM-built 2.8L V6 and a 2.1L four-cylinder Renault diesel. The engine should be AMC’s 2.5L inline-four with around 120 hp. The underside looks solid and they don’t mention rust at all and there doesn’t appear to be any on this Jeep. The seller has uploaded a video here on YouTube. I’m hoping that the steering wheel cover is for protection and grip rather than to cover any issues. The seats and dash and everything else looks great. The interior looks great and you can see the shifter. I could be mistaken on the lift kit, what are your thoughts? Is this a factory height for a Jeep Comanche? It doesn’t matter in the least, I like how it looks. The seller says that this Comanche is all original but I’m assuming they don’t include the slight lift kit that it appears to have and the big wheels and tires. The seller doesn’t show us the back of the Comanche but they do include a photo showing the hauling area, complete with toolbox, which I’m assuming is included. Still, I’d like to see a two-door pickup based on the Grand Cherokee, like this one. That’s a tough one because certainly any pickup today will have to have four doors and the pickup hauling capacity of a Grand Cherokee-based pickup would have a tiny bed space in back if it kept its four doors. I know, they just came out with a Gladiator pickup, but it’s based on the Wrangler, not the Grand Cherokee. They have an $8,900 buy-it-now price listed or you can make an offer.īased on the Cherokee, the Comanche is a truck that Jeep should bring back. It can be found listed here on eBay in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Who’s with me?! (crickets) Well, I like them and I would love to have this 1986 Jeep Comanche. I had some reservations about this lens after reading about possible control knob conflict with the camera body but these proved unfounded for the Nikon camera I'm using it with. You can also correct the perspective distortion that wide angle lense can otherwise really exaggerate when shooting architectural or other geometric subjects. When you combine the 2 movement functions you can create extensive depth of field where you otherwise would have to resort to focus-stacking. Depending on the scene you are shooting, you can increase or decrease depth of field not just by the aperture setting but also by the tilt position relative to the camera and the scene you're imaging. When you alter the focal plane by tilting, you very quickly generate out of focus areas, that's how it's supposed to work. When used on a full frame camera, sharpness, even wide open, is pretty good out to the corners when the lens is not shifted or tilted. Optical performance is decent and meets my expectations. This lens allows me a lot of creative control in a variety of situations i could not otherwise accomplish with a wide angle lens. Perspective distortion creation or correction, focus plane shifting and control, this is a very versatile optical tool. This lens is great for expanding your creative abilities in ways you can't easily accomplish with software. The super close-focus ability extends the usefulness to small scale subjects. With independently rotatable tilt and shift axes, very similar to the Canon version, you are able to arrange a wide variety of optical adjustments with this lens. Build quality is decent but not like the heavy metal masters from Canon or Nikon. Already an economical alternative to the big name mfrs, getting this lens during a really good sale made it hard to pass up. 00:17:45 Marvel's Spider-Man 2 + Marvel's Wolverine.00:09:33 Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy PS5 and PC Remasters.00:00:00 Introduction + Grand Theft Auto 5 PS5.Watch on YouTube John Linneman, Rich Leadbetter, Alex Battaglia and Audi Sorlie convene for this 4K video covering off last week's Sony software showcase. The barrage of trailers was such that when something fresh and interesting comes along, it amplifies attention: Tchia: A Game Inspired by New Caledonia was a highlight. Project Eve? Throwback hyper-sexualised main character apart, the imagery was impressive and solidifies UE4 as a major player of the generation. Forspoken is looking very, very interesting - and did stand out, particularly as it seems to be based on Square-Enix's under-utilised Luminous Engine and maybe that's enough for now, but I'd love to know more about the game. GTA5's delay was announced, but a trailer apparently telling us we're getting an improved experience didn't tell us or show us how it's actually better. The new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic got a CG trailer, but even with the after-show interviews, we're still wondering what the vision for the remake actually is. Instead, we get a sequence of curated imagery that rarely managed to leave a lasting impression. There's a lot of 'what' - what the game is essentially - but no 'why' or 'how'. There's no vision, no context, no exploration of the interactive element. Publishers and platform holders seem to think that a procession of imagery for successive titles running one after the other works, but it doesn't really. Unfortunately, a procession of trailers and CG visualisations presented in sequence doesn't quite cut it. This was essentially Sony's E3 2021, pushed back a couple of months and presented as an online show. I described it as a game of two halves - an assortment of third party trailers followed by a procession of first-party wares. Since we have a long way to go, we would love for many talented developers to apply. Two DF Directs in one week? Our filming slot for the weekly show is Thursday morning, but we went into this one knowing that Sony's PlayStation 5 Showcase would be kicking off 12 hours later, but as we had so much material to work with, we went ahead with our normal weekly show and added in a Direct special to cover off the Sony event - and let's start by taking a look at the PlayStation 5 showcase, where beyond the reveal of some exciting new PS5 titles, the emphasis really was on cross-generational fare from both first and third-party studios. Many parts of the system are complete, and the resources are currently at the mass production stage. According to Hyung-Tae Kim, as explained on the website, “We have progressed about halfway through the development. Eve as one of the survivors fight off the enemies. The Earth wounds up in ruin and as time continues, they reclaim the Earth, sending Eve paratroopers units down. When mankind is unexpectedly removed from enemies called the NA:tives at the peak of its golden age in history, those who managed to survive escaped to the Colony in outer space. That is why momentarily, we can live vicariously through the developers, based on the aesthetic gameplay shown. Just imagine getting the game early and reliving another game with bugs and glitches. The game is still being in development, so we should not expect it to be developed in 2021 or early 2022. In a post-apocalyptic world, Eve is on a journey with her companions, to slay her enemies. So far, we are uncertain of the release date of the game. The game is also inspired by Devil May Cry and 2018’s God of War. Project Eve was first announced in 2019 and is mentioned to be a game similar to Bayonetta plus Nier. Since the PS5 remained a struggle to get, being shortly in stock and out of stock, the desire to own the platform increased. TRAILER - Anal Retardations - Best Enema Video Ever! If you dislike this person, then odds are you don’t know them well enough. It’s about that one person you can lean on, trust and believe in. This song is about a certain type of person, possibly Gilbert describing himself. Impression: With a strong guitar and tambourine intro, ‘The Ones Like Me’ displays Gilbert’s raspy voice in the best way possible. At the end of it all, he wants to be able to sit down with his love in their rocking chairs.įavorite Lyrics: These are the nights, yeah the good times we let the wild side out to play…Ģ.) ‘The Ones Like Me’ – Written by Brantley Gilbert, Blake Chaffin, and Bobby Pinson. The song describes how life goes by within the blink of an eye, and how each day brings something new. Impression: With a major southern drawl and banjo opening, the lead to the album sets the tone, literally. Any BG fan, and new fan, will be beyond pleased with this album.ġ.) ‘Rockin’ Chairs’ – Written by Brantley Gilbert. His voice is showcased perfectly from his soft and sweet songs to his country rocker side. He shows off his songwriting skills with this album as he is the main writer on four songs out of the primary 16 and is the co-writer of all the others. Brantley truly does it again and brings us another badass album with tons of versatility. In his fourth studio album, ‘ The Devil Don’t Sleep,’ Brantley Gilbert brings us 16 brand new songs along with five demos songs and five live performed songs of his old classics on the deluxe version of the album. |
