![]() ![]() ![]() When I moved to linux I could not find a calculator that acted in the same way as what I used to use on windows, so I made one. This project was created out of necessity as I used to use a similar application on windows to do my monthly finances. (Of an otherwise very neat little application.TapeCalc A cross platform ribbon calculator. Honestly, I am awaiting for the Corsair K95 RGB keyboard to come out, to use its makros so I could ditch Robo Type for good, and get rid of this years long source of constant aggravation. So it appears that for the past few years we are getting all kinds of explanations, like we should read the Introduction first, instead of somebody actually looking into and fixing this wake-up which is more like an oversleep. (The enable-disable check-tinkering forces it to be active at the bottom as well.) However on the bottom bar on the left of the main window it comes up saying "Robo type is disabled" And unfortunately that is not a joke - it means it. It is of course set to start with windows (which it does) and enable is checked in the menu. (Like in disable and re-enable.)įurther: There are visual signs that the program is internally messed up. Now it started playing hardball with me, and I have to take the check-mark out of enable and then put it back. It used to be that it would wake up after 10-15 attempts, or simply from opening and closing the main window. I think the rest is predictable.Īs one observer put it, you have to "wake up" Robo, on first use, and the answer was, that this may be a timing issue, and the observer very aptly elaborated, that the "first use" may happen hours after the bootup itself. This is a broad spectrum complaint: I have been using Robo Type on a laptop running XP, on my home rig W7, and now on my new buid 8.1- that I thought would solve all my miseries - Robo Type amongst them. I have read through a lot of elevated discussions, and at the end could not help but conclude that my post would be still welcomed.
