![]() It is unknown if the Children of the Moon share the same attributes as the wolf shape-shifters. The original Quileute shape-shifters apparently could have taken the form of any animal, but chose wolves. While talking to the Volturi in Breaking Dawn, Edward reveals that the wolves of La Push are actually "shape-shifters" and not true werewolves. The whole pack is made of the great -to however many degrees- grandsons and daughters of that original wolf. The man who was that spirit, had many children, and found out that his sons, at the age of manhood, could transform into wolves as well, and that's how the wolves came to be. After destroying his old body and setting everything right, the emotions of the man were too much for the wolf, and the wolf transformed into a magnificent human. An idea came to him, and he asked the wolf to make room in his head for the spirit man. ![]() He was jealous of the wolf for having a physical form, and got angry. One day, the man as the spirit found a large, beautiful wolf in the woods. He wandered for a while in spirit form, watching the man who stole his body do unspeakable things with his tribe. Back then, a warrior/chief left his body, and it was stolen. Shape-shifters, a.k.a the Quileute wolves, decend from original Spirit Warriors, from the ancient Quileutes thousands of years ago. Although every werewolf story is different (some werewolves may change shape at will like the Quileutes, or lack the weakness to silver as well), Jacob is not a werewolf because of the clear distinction between who the shapeshifters are and who the actual werewolves are in the series.įor further explanation regarding the two, the following articles should clear things up. They do not change form during the full moon, do not infect others with lycanthropy by biting them, do not have a special weakness to silver bullets and so on. (See? Ive read the books, too.) In fact, the only ONLY thing they share in common with actual werewolves is that they transform into a wolf. Caius has gone right out and said it The Quileutes are NOT werewolves. Its geneticthey do not continue their species by infecting others the way true werewolves do. They have merely inherited this skill from their fathers. These creatures truly have nothing to do with the Children of the Moon. It could have been a bear or a hawk or a panther when the first change was made. The choice of a wolf form was purely chance. The more accurate name for them would be shape- shifters. Though the creatures think of themselves as werewolves, they are not. The funny thing is, all it would take to prove them wrong would be to flip to just one page in book 4 and read a seemingly insignificant little paragraph. What completely baffles me is that all those fans have read the books probably more than once, but STILL they insist that Jacob and friends are true werewolves. Because hello, they turn into wolves! And while normally thats all the proof that is needed to classify someone as one of these creatures, the Twilight series presents a much different case. Just what are they, exactly? Any fan will most likely tell you ≍uh, theyre werewolves. Friendly, good singing voice. The werewolves of Twilight have been the subject of almost as much mass debate as Edward and his sparkly chest hair. He's honorable and often literally swoops down whenever someone needs help to lend a hand. Hyena because I/she can be hyper and laugh at things that other people don't find funny. Cerai is supposed to be my alter ego, so she would have the same twilight form as me. Owls are depicted as being wise, and she is just that. What animal forms would you/your OCs/other LoZ characters have, and why? ![]() If she did get an animal form, what do you think it would be?Ģ: This is the fun part. Any theories as to why this is? If anyone that doesn't have a triforce piece turns into a spirit, and the ones that do are protected/turn into animals.doesn't make much sense. But the remaining triforce piece holder, Zelda, didn't get an alternate form. 1: Link got a wolf form, Ganondorf got a boar form. ![]()
